Alexis Johnson
Fashion Designer
About

Hello, my name is Alexis Johnson, and I am a recent graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design, with a bachelor’s in fashion design. I specialize in Adaptive and Sustainable design. I want to help bring awareness to untouched markets where people need more representation in the industry.
My expertise lies within pattern-making, designing, research, and
concept development. I am fluent in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and
Lightroom. I also have basic knowledge in using CLO3D and am
fluent in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
For my senior project in school, I designed a collection of adaptive clothing for people born with Dwarfism, thus creating a new template for making technical flats, patterns, and illustrating. Due to this project and my hard work, my school has put me into several competitions, The Rookies, Red Dot Concept Design Awards, Core77, and the International design awards. The project was given an Honorable Mention in two of the categories for the International Design Awards. I have also taught myself how to read braille for a collection for the seeing impaired, as well as the creation of other adaptive clothing.
